Community Navigation & Engagement Coordinator
This full-time (40 hours/week) position is primarily based at the Bienvenidos office in Bozeman, with one to two days per week spent in person at the Big Sky Community Food Bank. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for events.
Compensation: $23-25/hour + Benefits + Travel Expenses Coverage

Position Summary:
Bienvenidos is seeking a Community Resource Navigation & Engagement Coordinator (Community Navigator) to support and empower the Spanish-speaking immigrant community across Big Sky and the Gallatin Valley. This full-time, bilingual role blends in-person resource navigation and outreach at the Big Sky Food Bank and Bienvenidos’ Bozeman office with virtual support through our helpline. The ideal candidate is community-driven, culturally responsive, and passionate about equity, advocacy, and creating access to opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Navigation & Client Support
- Meet with clients to assess needs, determine eligibility, and provide accurate referrals and navigation support.
- Document all interactions using our case tracking system and report trends to the Program Manager.
- Empower clients through mentorship, encouraging self-sufficiency and establishing healthy boundaries.
- Maintain a regular appointment schedule while allowing time for walk-ins.
Big Sky Presence & Community Engagement
- Provide in-person navigation services at the Big Sky Food Bank
- Serve as a culturally competent and trusted presence for the Spanish-speaking immigrant workforce in Big Sky area
Community Advocacy & Outreach
- Advocate for equitable access to local services, resources, and opportunities for immigrant workers and Spanish Speakers.
- Collaborate with Bienvenidos staff and community partners to design and implement relevant programming that promote cultural connection, skill-building, and community integration in Gallatin County
- Promote Bienvenidos’ mission and programs, and other engagement opportunities through consistent, multilingual outreach.
- Create flyers, social media posts, and outreach materials to share information and promote opportunities.
- Ensure messaging reaches the Spanish-speaking community through trusted channels.
- Attend and support community events, workforce engagement activities, and advocacy opportunities as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Valid Montana driver’s license and functioning vehicle to travel to Big Sky.
- Intermediate Computer skills including Google Docs/Sheets
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work patiently with personnel and organizations that are new to working with immigrant families.

- Experience in community outreach, event planning, or resource coordination.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach to community work.
- Passion for social justice, advocacy, and building inclusive communities.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full Time
- Compensation: $23-25 per hour
- Paid travel time
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate
