1. What is the Community Closet?
The Community Closet provides essential items at no cost to families in need, offering practical support during transitions and emergencies throughout the year.
2. Who can access the Community Closet?
Families who connect with our Community Navigation Program can access the Community Closet as part of the support services we offer.
3. What items are available?
The Community Closet includes winter clothing for all ages, baby items such as diapers, formula, wipes, and bottles, as well as a small supply of nonperishable food and seasonal household essentials when available.
4. How does the Community Navigation Program help families?
Our Community Navigation Program offers bilingual support, one-on-one appointments for paperwork and applications, referrals to trusted partners, and guidance on healthcare, schools, housing, and public services in Montana.
5. Is there a cost to receive items or support?
No. All Community Closet items and Community Navigation support services are provided at no cost to families.

Become a Welcome Center Volunteer
This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with client relationships and community navigation.
Volunteers assist with:
• Greeting families and newcomers
• Organizing donations and resources
• Supporting clients with forms and navigation
• Helping with data entry and organization
Prerequisites:
Client Facing Onboarding
While Spanish speaking is preferred, if you are not fully confident, we can tailor your tasks or activities that suit your current Spanish level.
Training:
Your training involves working directly with staff to learn our case management software and shadowing resource navigation meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of our client support processes.
Time Commitment:
Shifts are flexible (2+ hours).
You can volunteer at the Welcome Center once a week, once a month, or whenever your schedule allows. Times available are Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
